Malta
We can now offer a relaxing trip to historic Malta for our clients in October. But be warned - we have had a lot of interest in this holiday and were only able to get 12 rooms in the hotel………it will be a small select group!
The basic plan is to be in Malta to celebrate Trafalgar Night with the Royal Naval Officers Association of Malta whilst also enjoying a pretty relaxing time in the Autumn sun.
Our programme is as below.
Tuesday 15th October - Depart Gatwick (Easyjet) 1645 : Arrive Malta 2055 Transfer to Preluna hotel.**** (see below) ( Flights from other airports are available - please ask for a price)
Wednesday 16th October - Round the island orientation tour with various stops. Coastal route to Mellieah…Mgarr (underground WWII shelter) ….Mdina…..Aviation Museum/ Craft village and Mosta.
Thursday 17th October - Coach to Fort St Elmo …Malta Experience audio visual + La Sacra Infermeria. (see Google) Lunch at the roof top restaurant of Castille Hotel overlooking Grand Harbour.PM a tour of the nearby Lascaris underground WWII HQ.
Friday 18th October - Full Harbour boat tour of all creeks and harbours. Disembark by Fort St Angelo for visits to the Fort, ( the former HMS St Angelo) + Malta Maritime Museum and then by coach to the famous 100 ton gun
Saturday 19th October - A day at leisure. Visit nearby Gozo perhaps? or look and book something from the discounted offers at Dealtoday.com.mt ….everything from a days Diving..Spa treatments….Sailing…..Golf….Yoga and of course more food options.
Sunday 20th October - Optional Cathedral service & Coffee with the expats - then Valletta to Marsaxlokk village and return.
Monday 21st October - Free day in Valletta (by public transport - a must!!). Witness Noon day gun firing. Evening - Trafalgar Night Dinner at VILLA ARRIGO, Ta” Targa with RN Officers Assn.
Tuesday 22nd October - Coach to the airport for our return flight (Departs at 11:15. Arrives Gatwick at 13:40)
Please Note:
Our Hotel is the Four Star Preluna at Sliema.(see them at Google) All our rooms are overlooking the sea too. We have used this hotel many times simply because of its excellent location. We have only booked on a B&B basis as there are so many eating establishments of every type for you to explore locally and throughout the island.
This holiday and flights are provided for us by Mercury Holidays - whilst we have organised the programme above for our group whilst in Malta. This holiday will be escorted throughout from London by Mike & Lana Critchley.

£ 1150 pp based on two people sharing a twin/double room. This price is guaranteed until 1 July 2019 - after that date there may be an increase in the price of flights.
A few double rooms (sea or country views) for single use may be available. Please ask if interested.
What is NOT included : Essential travel insurance. Drinks. Tips as appropriate.
We ask for a £200 per person deposit to confirm your place on this holiday - which has always been the most popular we organise with our clients.
