MARITIME HERITAGE TOURS

For over 10 years Mike Critchley - a former Royal Naval Officer and owner of specialist naval book publishers - Maritime Books - has taken groups of customers to many parts of the world ( from Hawaii to Moscow ) to holiday in areas with some Naval and Maritime Interest. These educational trips have primarily been a holiday with the opportunity to explore (often "behind the scenes" that member of the public can’t enjoy) with plenty of free time to investigate a location too. Many partners have travelled with us and many customers have travelled on their own. New friends are easily made. You are only alone when you want to be!!

Mike sold his business (in October 2015) but continues organising these tours that seem to be ever popular with his ex-customers and their friends. “ People who were once customers have become really good friends” says Mike. Long may it continue.

We are not travel agents -simply Group Travel Organisers but we always book through an authorised UK travel agent with whom customers have a contract. Customers will be advised of which travel agent we book through for your own peace of mind. We insist you carry appropriate travel insurance throughout all our tours - which I personally accompany.

We often suggest a tour to our database of customers and, if sufficient interest is expressed, will then start researching and offer something appropriate if at all possible. We are very happy to explore suggestions from our customers and have organised bespoke tours for various naval associations in the UK to their specific requirements and for overseas customers offer them tours of UK Maritime Heritage sites too from their arrival airport.
