Denmark
After a fabulous brief visit whilst on our April holiday to the new Jutland Museum in Denmark ….our group all fell in love with the spotlessly clean country and the museum was just amazing. Seven new museums ( explosions…shipwrecks…maritime art…..diving and whaling to name a few ( in addition to the main older Sea War museum ) opened in March 25 - all under the same roof.. we proved It certainly can’t be done in just a few hours -so are determined to return one day!!
Take a look at seawarmuseum.dk and be prepared to be surprised…..a brass submarine conning tower from a recovered WWI North Sea submarine wreck was new to me!
We are currently making arrangements to visit ( and Copenhagen too) in the autumn - hotels are already full at the weekend so we are looking at a "mid week weekend" probably 27-31 October. Please email mikecritchley7@icloud.com just saying “Denmark” and we’ll e mail you when we have done our homework and can come back with an offer to tempt you! . Denmark wont be cheap but it will be well worth raiding your piggy bank I promise.
