Our long awaited “Staycation”!!
Many clients in recent years have asked us to organise a visit to the Nation Museum of the Royal Navy at Hartlepool. HMS TRINCOMALEE and a Fairmile B WWII patrol boat are on view in their very fine Maritime Museum.. So now we are at last able to offer you a 5 night mini break “up north”. We will also be heading to Whitby - to discover what the home of Captain Cook can offer - with the North Yorkshire Steam Railway included as a bonus.
Our Programme
5th June Arrive Whitby. Make your own way to check in at the Royal Hotel. We meet in the bar for Dinner at 1930.
6th June Explore Whitby ! Visit Captain Cook Museum. Tour and snack Lunch onboard HMS ENDEAVOUR (Replica - see Google) Late afternoon at leisure..... Short sunset coastal cruise.
7th June 1000 Steam train to Pickering …Mini bus/ coach to Eden Camp (see Google) Dinner at Hotel again tonight.
8th June Transfer to Hartlepool (Car share or direct train - £12 single extra) Perhaps drive via York or Harrogate?
Check in to Premier Inn at Hartlepool Marina. Dinner at hotel at 1930.( 2 Courses and a drink included.)
9th June AM Visit to HMS TRINCOMALEE and Fairmile B Coastal Forces craft at nearby Maritime Museum
PM independent visit to LOCOMOTION (free entry`) at Shildon Dinner in hotel or onboard Trincomalee tonight.TBC
10th June Depart Hartlepool after breakfast.
What's included
Catering…. 5 Breakfasts 1 Lunch 4 Dinners.
Visits as advertised above and include the Steam train experience (Whitby - Pickering and return)
Coach transfer as above.
Hotels. We can only get a maximum of 9 hotel rooms on this holiday ( 8 Double - One twin ) and must pay for the Holiday Inn when we confirm your room.
Our Price: £550 each - based on two people sharing a twin or double room.
